The composition of this diptych is meant to give off the illusion that layers of her skin are slowly being lifted or peeled away. It speaks to the fact that we all, consciously or otherwise, dress ourselves with figurative armor in order to face each day and then take it all off once home only to repeat that cycle again the following day.
